Infant Feeding And Support Centre

Our Infant Feeding and Support Centre offers women with babies up to the age of 12 weeks assistance and guidance from our International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in a one-on-one setting.

On arrival we will welcome you and settle you in for the day in a relaxed women’s only space. We ask that if possible you don’t feed your baby prior to arriving at the clinic so that soon after arrival we can watch you feed your baby. Observing these feeds will provide opportunities to discuss your feeding concerns, goals and plans.

When:

The clinic operates Tuesdays in our Maternity Education room. You have an option to choose the one-on-one session at 9:15am or 11:15am.

What to bring:

On the day please bring your baby to the hospital in a pram, baby change of clothes, nappies, nappy wipes etc. Please also bring your Maternal and Child Health Nursing Book (Green Book). If you are using a breast pump, bottles, teats, formula etc, please bring them with you also.

Car Parking:

Parking fees apply for visitors electing to park onsite. Additional free parking is available around the hospital (parking restrictions may apply).

Cost:

The cost of attendance is $150. This fee must be paid prior to attendance at the clinic (EFTPOS or credit card) and can be made by calling 03 9881 7700 during business hours.

Bookings:

If you would like to attend the Infant Feeding and Support Centre at Waverley Private Hospital, bookings can be easily made online by following the Pregnancy Education and Tours link.

Cancellation:

Please call (03) 9881 7760 during business hours if you wish to cancel the booking.
