Information for Visitors

The support of family and friends is an important part of the recovery process and we welcome visitors during visiting hours.

In order to promote their rest and recovery, our preferred visiting hours are as follows:

Please respect the wishes and wellbeing of our other patients and avoid undue noise.

Hospitals can present hazards to children, so we request that children be supervised by an adult at all times, and are not permitted to roam freely around the hospital

We ask that any visitors who are unwell, or suffering from coughs, colds, gastro type illness or infectious diseases, do not come to the Hospital in order to reduce the chances of the illness spreading to our patients, families and staff.

Access to the hospital carpark is via the Blackburn Road entrance (Melway Ref Map 70 J3).

There is a 15 minute Drop off and Pick up Parking zone near to the hospital main entrance and disabled parking is also provided.

The following Parking Fees apply for visitors electing to park onsite at the hospital:

Payment is valid from 6 am – 8pm – 7 days

Additional free parking is available around the hospital (parking restrictions may apply).

Reception is able to book a taxi if required and a telephone is located in the main foyer for your convenience.

A bus stop is conveniently located just outside the main entrance on Blackburn Road.

Syndal Railway Station is a 15 minute walk from the hospital.

Our hospital Café is located at the main entrance and provides a variety of delicious hot and cold beverages, snacks, meals and an assortment of magazines and newspapers.

Please note that a flower and gift shop is not located at the hospital. There are a small range of gifts available at our hospital Café.

By law, Waverley Private Hospital is a smoke free environment. Visitors and patients are requested not to smoke inside the hospital. There are designated smoking areas located outside the hospital. Please ask nursing staff about the location of designated smoking areas.
