A comprehensive range of ophthalmic (eye surgery services) are available at Waverley Private Hospital. These services are delivered by specialists with a wealth of expertise in treating eye conditions. 

With access to seven operating theatres, specifically trained theatre staff and the specialised equipment, our surgeons can provide advanced treatment options for individuals experiencing an extensive range of eye conditions. 

Our departments are staffed by experienced and skilled health care professionals, who are familiar with the latest medical developments and dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to patients.

 

Patients who require day procedures will be admitted to our modern, spacious Day Surgery Unit which has been designed to the latest Australasian Health Authority Guidelines.

Those patients who have had complex surgery and who are requiring an overnight stay following surgery will be admitted to our luxuriously fitted 32 bed surgical ward, all with private ensuites. In addition, our hotel services team provides a selection of meals from our a la carte menu (special dietary needs are catered for) that are all prepared freshly on site.

 
Waverley Private Hospital works with a range of specially trained ophthalmic surgeons, known as Ophthalmologists. These specialists train as general Ophthalmologists, and some have gone on to complete specialist training in various treatments and conditions.  

Waverley Private Hospital also work with oculoplastic surgeons who specialise in the treatment of eyelid, tear duct and eye sockets.
 
A GP or Optometrist referral is required to have a consultation with one of our accredited Ophthalmic or Oculoplastic specialists.
