The Oncology and Day Infusion Centre specialises in the care and support of patients receiving day medical therapy (usually by IV infusion), often used for the treatment or management of chronic illness.
The Centre at Waverley Private Hospital offers patients the convenience of local day treatment service delivered in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, taking some of the anxiety and inconvenience away of receiving treatment, and enabling patients and their families to continue with their lives during their treatment period.

Our specialist team gives personal attention to each patient, assessing their current health status, educating them about their disease and the infusion drug they will be receiving, as well as possible side effects from the medication.
Our staff also ensures that patients meet all discharge requirements and have appropriate home-supports in place before they are discharged from our service.

The time you will need to spend receiving treatment at the Private Oncology and Day Infusion Centre will be dependant on the type of infusion you will be receiving.
Please follow the instructions of your doctor carefully prior to your treatment.
A family member or carer is very welcome to accompany and support you during treatment.
A nurse will contact you to guide you through information and education regarding the chemotherapy treatment you will be receiving, possible side effects and how to manage them.
