Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Selvarani (Selvi) Moses, an experienced general paediatrician with a keen interest in both behavioural and acute general paediatrics, tertiary neonatal care as well as neonatal care in the community.
Throughout her training Selvi was instrumental in the initiation of many guidelines and quality improvement projects in several hospitals. She has been a leader throughout her career, leading a tertiary neonatal unit in Sri Lanka as a consultant neonatal paediatrician and has incorporated these skills throughout her work here in Australia for many years. She also was a research co-ordinator for neonatal research at Frankston Hospital, APLS and a neoesus instructor.
Selvi has a strong work history in paediatric medicine having held positions at Peninsula Health, Monash Children’s Hospital, Royal Children’s Hospital, Neonatal Unit at Mercy Hospital for Women, Eastern Health and Latrobe Regional Health. Interstate she worked at the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children in Canberra, Princess Margaret Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital.
Selvi is passionate about holistic care, building strong relationships with both patients and families supporting them to understand their child’s condition with clear communication. Her current public appointment is at Peninsula Health in both the neonatal and paediatric units.
