Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Catherine Algie. She completed her undergraduate training at the University of Melbourne, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree with honours. Following this she completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland, winning awards for academic merit.
Catherine has gained experience in treating a wide variety of pain-related conditions, undertaking training at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Austin Hospital and Royal Women’s Hospital. Catherine holds public positions at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Monash Health and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
Catherine is dedicated to teaching the next generation of clinicians and contributing to clinical practice through research. She has published in the areas of pain, anaesthesia sustainability and patient safety.
