Dr Navid Hamedani

MD FFPMANZCA FRACGP FAMAC

Navid collaborates closely with general practitioners, surgeons, and other specialists, striving to ensure optimal care for patients in pain.

Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Navid Hamedani, an Australian-trained specialist pain medicine physician dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for his patients. With dual fellowships in Pain Medicine (FFPMANZCA) and General Practice (FRACGP), he possesses a comprehensive understanding of pain management. He has also served as a senior lecturer at the Medical School, contributing to the training of future medical professionals.

Having experience in general practice and being in direct contact with patients and their families, he recognises the profound impact of pain not only on the individuals but also on the broad community. Collaborating closely with general practitioners, surgeons, and other specialists, he strives to ensure optimal care for patients in pain.

Navid has collaborated with various public and private pain rehabilitation and intervention centres, ensuring that his patients receive holistic and high-quality care for both acute and chronic pain conditions. Navid's passion lies in pain medicine, which he considers one of the most rewarding fields in medicine. Through nurturing strong patient relationships, he creates an environment where patients can openly express and address the hidden impacts of their pain.

Recongnising that each individual’s pain experience is unique, Navid believes in tailoring a holistic approach to meet the specific needs of each patient. He understands that pain medicine is not a “one size fits all” field, and he employs conservative or interventional strategies based on the patient’s preferences and requirements, ensuring that patients remain in control of their pain management journey. Navid helps his patients to be the master of their pain.
