Tim manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions.

Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce Mr Timothy Wong, oral and maxillofacial surgeon who graduated as Dux of Wesley College (1995) prior to completing his medical degree at Monash University in 2001. He then completed his basic surgical training with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2004 whilst working at St Vincent’s Hospital and Royal Melbourne Hospital prior to completing his dental degree at the University of Melbourne in 2007. 

Tim graduated with first-class honours in both his degrees and was awarded 11 academic prizes and scholarships including the Alfred Hospital Robert Power prize in Surgery (2001), Sir John Monash Scholarship (2006) and Bertha Bennett most outstanding dental student (2006).  He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training in Victoria (2008-2011) prior to undertaking a further 18-month clinical fellowship in oral and maxillofacial surgery in London at University College Hospital. 

On returning to Melbourne in 2013, he was appointed to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Austin and Repatriation Hospital and Royal Dental Hospital as a consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

Tim has presented at both national and international meetings in the areas of orthognathic surgery and head and neck oncology and is a member of the Australian & New Zealand Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ANZAOMS) and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (OMS).
