Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Ye Chen an ophthalmologist with sub-speciality interest in eyelid, lacrimal and orbital surgery (oculoplastics). After graduating from Melbourne University with his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery he completed an internship at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. He was then awarded a Rhodes Scholarship at the University of Oxford, England, where he obtained a DPhil in Medical Science.
Ye continued his training in ophthalmology at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, and completed his subspecialty training in Adelaide, gaining considerable experience in the treatment of eyelid disorders, including ’droopy’ eyelids, eyelid malpositions, brow ptosis, eyelid tumours; orbital disorders, including thyroid eye disease, orbital tumour, socket disorders; and lacrimal disorders, including ‘watery eyes’ and blocked tear ducts. Ye also performs cataract, pterygium and chalazion surgery.
Ye is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. He is also a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons.
