Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Matthew Lau, obstetrician, and gynaecologist. Matthew graduated from The University of Melbourne in year 2000 and went on to train in obstetrics and gynaecology with KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore.

He attained the specialist degree of Master of Medicine (O&G) from Singapore and Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (United Kingdom) in 2007. Since he returned to Australia in 2015, he has worked in Monash Health and the Women’s at Sandringham. He is Fellow of Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists

Besides general obstetrics and gynaecology practice Matthew’s passion lies in fertility treatment and advanced keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery.

As a specialist, Matthew had previously received various awards for exemplary performance in public service. He is currently a staff specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology at Monash Health. His vision is providing individualised patient care that exceeds expectations. He is very committed to patient care and will always be available for his patient at time of needs.

Matthew has extensive fertility-related experience as a lecturer, co-author of research publications, and guest speaker at conferences. He is doing his fertility work with City Fertility Centre.
