Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Michal Amir a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, with an active practice in general obstetrics, gynaecology and ultrasound.
Following her O&G training, Dr Amir completed a two-year fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery in Monash Medical Centre. Since then she gained much experience in Australia and overseas, in general gynaecology and obstetrics, but mainly in laparoscopic surgery, Endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain, which is her niche of specialty.
Michal holds consultant positions at two of Melbourne’s hospitals:
Royal Women’s Hospital and Sandringham Hospital. She works within these institutions in obstetrics, general gynaecology and advanced laparoscopic gynaecology. She is also involved in medical teaching and training.
Michal is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and a member of the Australasian Society for Endoscopic Surgery (AGES).
Michal is multilingual. In addition to English she speaks Hebrew and proficient Arabic.
