Pre-Pregnancy Sessions

We organise regular Pre-Pregnancy sessions during the year, that include presentations from an obstetrician and midwife, and incorporate a tour of our maternity unit. These sessions are very popular, so bookings are essential. The dates for 2012 are as follows:

Pre-Admission Interview with a Midwife

You will be invited to come in and meet with a midwife to discuss relevant issues regarding your admission and midwifery care. Please contact us on Phone: (03) 9881 7760 to arrange an appointment with a midwife.

Antenatal and Childbirth Classes

Waverley Private Hospital offers an extensive range of flexible classes to prepare you and your partner for childbirth and parenting. These programs aim to provide families with an informed and integrated approach to childbirth and parenting and are conducted by a midwife childbirth educator and other health care professionals.

First time mothers - topics cover labour, delivery, breastfeeding and the transition from hospital to home with baby
Experienced mothers - Refresher course, or for those who have had a caesarean birth previously and are looking to have a conventional delivery for their next child.
Grandparent classes - designed to educate grandparents in the advances and changes that have occurred in post-natal care since they were parents.
