Information for Visitors

The support of family and friends is an important part of the recovery process and we welcome visitors during visiting hours.

In order to promote their rest and recovery, our preferred visiting hours are as follows:

Medical/ Surgical Unit

3.30 pm to 8.00 pm

High Dependency Please liaise with the Facility Nurse in Charge
Maternity

3.30 pm to 8 .00 pm

Maternity rest period No visitors or phone calls between 1.30pm - 3.30pm.
Day Procedure Centre There is limited space in our Day Procedure Centre, so we ask that where possible, your support person/family leave you in our care and return when you are ready to go home.

Please respect the wishes and wellbeing of our other patients and avoid undue noise.

Hospitals can present hazards to children, so we request that children be supervised by an adult at all times, and are not permitted to roam freely around the hospital

We ask that any visitors who are unwell, or suffering from coughs, colds, gastro type illness or infectious diseases, do not come to the Hospital in order to reduce the chances of the illness spreading to our patients, families and staff.

Free parking is available onsite in our visitor carpark, access via the Blackburn Road entrance to the hospital (Melway Ref Map 70 J3). Additional parking is also available around the hospital (parking restrictions may apply).

Reception is able to book a taxi if required and a telephone is located in the main foyer for your convenience.

A bus stop is conveniently located just outside the main entrance on Blackburn road.

A Hudsons Café is located at the main entrance and provides a variety of delicious hot and cold beverages, snacks, meals and an assortment of magazines and newspapers.

Opening hours:
Monday to Friday 7.00am to 5.00pm

Please note that a flower and gift shop is not located at the hospital. There are a small range of gifts available at Hudsons Café.

By law, Waverley Private Hospital is a smoke free environment. Visitors and patients are requested not to smoke inside the hospital. There are designated smoking areas located outside the hospital. Please ask nursing staff about the location of designated smoking areas.
