History

• 1970 - Building commenced
• 1972 - Hospital opened with 47 beds on the 7th April
• 1976 - Additional wing opened with a further 38 beds
• 1982 - New Radiology and Pathology
• 1984 - 1st Surgical and Medical hospital to be accredited
• 1991 - Day Procedure Unit built and opened
• 1995 - Renovations and additions to the Surgical Unit

• 2007 - 28,000th baby born
• 2007 - First hospital in suburban Melbourne to operate a Parenting Program. Parenting program commenced at Novotel Glen Waverley
• 2008 - 500th mum and baby stay at Novotel Glen Waverley
• 2009 - Refurbishment of Maternity Unit
• 2009 - Re-opening of High Dependency Unit
• 2010 - Relocation of Day Chemotherapy to new unit in the hospital
• 2010 - Renovations to Med/Surg unit
• 2010 - Renovations of Consulting Suites
