Maternity: Our Post-natal Care

Our Post-natal Care

You may expect to be in hospital for a standard 4 nights following a normal delivery and 5 nights following a caesarean section and will be cared for around the clock by our team of experienced midwives and maternity unit nursing staff.

Our team of caring and experienced maternity unit team pride themselves in offering you and your partner comprehensive postnatal and parenting support and education during your stay with us, covering topics such as feeding your baby, parenting skills, coping at home and community resources. In addition to the postnatal care you will receive, you also have 24 hour direct telephone access to a midwife during your stay.

Physiotherapy Classes

To assist you during your post-partum recovery and self care, a visiting physiotherapist provides group post-natal physiotherapy classes twice a week.
