If the answer is NO then Waverley is the place. Our 12 month program allocates a preceptor for each graduate who is trained and dedicated. We are an experienced, friendly and personal team. Waverley offers professional development opportunities beyond the Graduate Nurse Program and has access to intranet library services

Many of our past graduates have continued their employment beyond their Graduate Program. As part of the Ramsay Health Care group we offer national links/opportunities to transfer from hospital to hospital (including interstate) without loosing your entitlements.

What experience will I gain at Waverley Private Hospital?

We aim for quality not quantity, and therefore limit our graduate intake so that we can guarantee outstanding clinical guidance and support during your Graduate Program. The program covers three key rotations (General Surgical / Medical, Perioperative services and Maternity).

Waverley Private Hospital is an acute care facility, which offers a broad clinical scope of practice in surgical, medical and obstetrics. Our key surgical specialties are orthopaedics, ENT, Endoscopy, plastics, gynaecology and general surgery. Our Perioperative service incorporates five operating theatres including a dedicated Day Procedure Unit.

Do I choose my rotations?

We can accommodate individual needs to ensure that your Graduate Program is tailored to meet your clinical learning requirements. Rotations can be modified if appropriate / indicated.

Is the program offered on a part time basis?

Yes, a permanent part time, 6 days or more a fortnight.
