Waverley Private Hospital commences expansion

In October 2015, Ramsay Health Care commenced construction on the $16 million Waverley Private Hospital development. “The expansion is in response to the growing healthcare needs of the local community. By expanding on an already comprehensive range of medical, surgical and maternity services we can continue to provide local and accessible treatment” said CEO Jill Gleeson.

The development includes 2 additional operating theatres with state of the art medical equipment and technology, a new day procedure area which will improve patient flow, 32 new private rooms in order to meet patient expectations, a new modern admissions area and expansion of radiology. The development will also see the conversion of existing shared patient rooms to private accommodation. The onsite consulting rooms, as part of the development, will be demolished and rebuilt. During this time our specialists will be relocated to various locations close to the hospital. The works are scheduled to take place over a period of eight months. “The hospital will continue to provide the highest standards of services during the development. This development will ensure Waverley Private Hospital has an increased presence in the area and will provide modern and fresh facilities for both patients and doctors.
